An attempt to convert Hebrew poetry into English poetry…

Will two take a trip without planning their way?
Will the young lion roar if he do not have prey?
Will the bird become caught if no bait is prepared?
Will the trap snap up tight, if no prey to be snared?
Will the trumpet sound out, and the people not fear?
If the answer is no, then this message now hear–
There is no calamity, famine, or fright
That the all-sovereign Lord has not planned in His might.
As He works He reveals to the prophets His plan–
Deity speaks through the mouth of a man!
A fierce lion roars, and who is not weak?
What Yahweh has thundered, I cannot but speak.
